Wohnhaus im Hansaviertel, Berlin 1955-1957 Das Mietshaus (acht Geschosse) wurde anläßlich der Interbau im Hansaviertel errichtet und zeichnet sich vor allem durch seine innovativen Wohngrundrisse aus. Die üblichen kleinen Balkone wurden zu einem Patio ausgebildet, um den sich ein Teil der Räume gruppiert. Im Erdgeschoß entstand ein zentraler Zugangsbereich.

The Apartment Block in the Hansaviertel, Berlin 1955-1957 The modal apartment house was built in the Hansaviertal on the occasion of the Interbau Exhibition. The conventional small corridor-like balconies were here transformed into patios around which the rooms of the apartments were grouped. The grouping around the open-air room created an intimate, private atmosphere.
